David Charpie
Co-CEO
David Charpie, Co-CEO of Mach49, brings a wealth of leadership experience from Global 2000 firms and multiple venture-backed startups, including roles at SAP, D&B, and Partners Healthcare. Known for driving disruptive growth and nurturing entrepreneurial cultures, he has shaped industries from big data to healthcare informatics. At Mach49, he has played a pivotal role in launching successful ventures, forging lasting client relationships, and expanding the firm’s global presence.
David’s career includes founding a $100M supplier information venture at D&B and launching SAP’s Supplier InfoNet, a cloud-based risk management business. With a background in nuclear engineering and an MBA from MIT, his work has transformed businesses while profoundly impacting the teams he’s led. He has turned the startup journey into a transformative experience for people and innovations alike.
Chris Cusack
Managing Partner, Venture Investing
As Managing Partner of Mach49’s Venture Investing practice, Chris Cusack helps corporations, foundations, and governments drive new growth by engaging with the global technology ecosystem. He has advised major organizations, including BHP, Delta Air Lines, Deutsche Telekom, UPS, and Whirlpool, on strategies for venture capital, corporate development, and strategic partnerships.
Chris’ venture capital journey began with startups addressing societal challenges in climate change, healthcare, financial services, and education. He realized that partnerships between startups and corporations were essential, especially in highly regulated industries. This insight led him to roles at Silicon Foundry and Village Capital, where he refined his expertise in corporate-startup collaboration, working with notable entities like Shell Foundation, MetLife Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. Chris holds a BS in economics and a BA in public policy from Duke University.
